My Personnel Testimony. It is such a joy to have you visit these pages. I pray they are a blessing to you. It is my desire that you know a little more about my family and me. Thank you for taking the time to browse through my site. God Bless you as you explore. I was born in McLean, Texas in August of 1941, a war baby. One of my earliest memories is of the prisoners of war working in our yard. They were from the prison camp north of McLean. I am the Mother of 4 children, 3 boys, and 1 girl. I also have raised a son of my husband of 28 years. There are 4 grandchildren, 2 girls and 2 boys. The 2 girls are the children of the son I raised from the age of 14. The 2 boys are the children of my daughter, Renee. My own 3 sons, Buddy, David, and Joe are still single. Since I was an only child I was determined to change that. I wanted my own children to have brothers and sisters to enjoy. I always felt I was cheated because I was alone. My Mothers parents were missionaries, pioneering the Osage Nation in what is now the state of Oklahoma, organizing churches for the Church of the Nazarene. It was these grandparents that most greatly impacted my life for Christ. They taught me about Jesus my Savior and what he did for me, but equally important they taught me that Jesus is my best friend and to talk to Him about everything. They succeeded in teaching me to have an intimate relationship with God. Rather then God being a distant untouchable that I accepted and then I was on my own. Jesus became real, my Savior, my best friend, and my very close partner for life. Praise the Lord, my grandparents had this wisdom because how I would have survived without Him I cannot fathom. I accepted Jesus at 3 yrs old. I cannot imagine life without HIM. The young years were easy years filled with the love of my parents, grandparents and my extended families of both parents. I was the youngest granddaughter of my Fathers parents. I never knew Grand Father Stokes, he died at a young age, but there were many cousins from Daddy’s brothers and sisters and I was the only girl of the younger set of cousins. So I grew up with the boys. After growing up with 5 boy cousins and having 3 sons it was good that God gave me my daughter first. I think she would have suffered had she come after the boys because I still relate to the guys easier then the girls. The only cloud over my young life was I suffered from severe Asthma. I was about 8 when we knelt in my Grandparents home and prayed before taking me to a near by city with plans of removing my tonsils. They were very bad caused by repeated infections and the doctor hoped removing them would help improve my health. When we arrived at the Doctor's office, prepared to go to the hospital, he found my tonsils in excellent condition and I have them until this day. This was my first experience with healing. The voice I have is a result of this healing. The midis you hear in the pages are my own singing. My voice is entirely His and used to His glory only. (This story is in the book) One of the biggest mistakes I made was to marry when I was a senior in high school. The guy had chosen and pursued me. Friends and family had done all they could to encourage the relationship that eventually led to marriage and climaxed with annulment. (This story is in the book) After that annulment I married a young man that was an employee of my Father's. We had been friends for a long time, but only began to date after the annulment. We decided to marry and had a small intimate wedding in my parents' home. He told his parents of our wedding because I wanted him to invite them. They showed up, with intentions of stopping the marriage. I had been married, and according to them, John could never be a Christian and be married to me, Marrying a person who had been married before would condemn him to hell. If he ever became a believer then he would have to remain married to me but we would have to live in separate places with no relationship. We had 2 children, a girl and 18 months later a boy. The boy was born with major problems caused by RH-factor. He was born with Hydrocephalus, excess fluid on his brain, and was mentally retarded. At 13 months he could not sit alone or hold his up straight, or do anything other infants would normally be doing at that age. The Lord definitely got my attention and it was the turning point of my life. There was a change from having a typical, casual, believing relationship about the Lord Jesus to becoming serious about my relationship with Him. I had been saved, and always lived a "good life", being a "good girl". I made a serious commitment to serve the Lord my entire life and walk in obedience. After my true commitment to the Lord Jesus my son was healed. Buddy is now in his 40s and is a healthy, intelligent, hard working young man that is committed to the Lord Jesus. Praise the Lord. (Another story) After 9 years of marriage I caught John living with another woman and that marriage ended in divorce. I was devastated. Again God would supply all my needs and bring total healing and victory. Praise the Lord! (Another story) From the time of Buddy's diagnosis of Hydrocephalus I seriously included the Lord Jesus in my everyday life. He became my stability, encourager, strength, way maker, friend, provider, counselor, leader and guide. He became my all in all. He has met every need of my life, and has given me even the desires of my heart. I met and married a man 18 years my senior. He is the father of my 2 youngest children. After 28 years of marriage that relationship ended in divorce because of emotional abuse. There were many crises during these years and God was sufficient and brought victory in each situation. He is such an awesome GOD. A loving Father, and a wonderful Savior. The giver of all peace, joy and love and all the blessings of life are FREE from the Lord of all creation. He is interested in the details of our lives IF we will just include Him. Talk to Him… Be honest with Him … Ask Him to forgive you of your sin with a truly repentant heart. Ask Him to take control of your life. Accept what Jesus did on the cross of Calvary as being for you personally … because it was. He loves you and it is His desire to enjoy a wonderful loving relationship with you - HIS CHILD. Ask Him to fill you with His Spirit. You can know Him IF you really want to know Him. He wants to give you LIFE MORE ABUNDANTLY! Praise the Lord! Will you accept His FREE gift of SALVATION TODAY? Here is a simple prayer to help you if you need it. Just read it, but be serious. Commit your heart to Him. Father, I am a sinner. Please, forgive me for my sin. Father, I know Jesus is your son and he died on the cross for me. Thank you Father, for making a way for me to have eternal life with you. Take control of my life, Father, I cannot do it on my own. Fill me with your Spirit, Father. I want to be more like you. Thank you Father, for hearing and answering my prayer. In JESUS precious name. Amen. A prayer for you... Father, Bless this one that has just committed their life to you.. Increase their borders Father.. Fill their lives with your peace, joy, and love. Meet their every need, physical, financial, mental, and emotional. Pour your love around them. Protect them from evil Father. And keep them from causing pain. I thank you Father for hearing and answering this prayer.
